Introduction

In 1936, Suunto was established when they began manufacturing a liquid filled compass. Beginning in 1970 Suunto manufactured their first diving instrument for calculating both depth and direction. Now Suunto is a popular supplier of digital dive computers and watches. Some of their watches are also popular for land use including the Suunto Vector which is a precision instrument that provides time, direction, weather change, temperature and altitude.
